I’ve joined the team at Health Education England as the West Midlands Training Programme Director for Core Surgical Teaching on a 3-year secondment.
My main role is to coordinate the delivery of the teaching programme for approximately 120 Core Surgical Trainees in the West Midlands. This involves delivery of both the surgical curriculum as well as sessions that help facilitate the careers of our trainees in line with the GMC’s Generic Professional Capabilities Framework.
In addition to that the team and I are working towards streamlining the administration of Core Surgical Training and optimising our web resources.
