2017 – 2022- Healthtech Startup

******** is a healthcare startup bringing DNA testing to the market in a safe, effective and clinically reliable way. From an initial start-up request of £100,000 the company secured £430,000 in investment, and rapidly expanded with strong links in the USA. A second funding campaign went over the £300,000, and the most recent third funding target of £50,000 resulted in more than £500,000 raised.

I advised on policy and strategy development, before developing the first version of protocols, service manual and recruitment. Following the expansion I took a Non-Executive Director role guiding the company during its initial and ongoing expansion as well as facilitating further strategy development.

The COVID pandemic has seen ******** working at the front line providing logistical support and COVID-19 tests to the NHS and other institutions.

2017 – 2018 – Birmingham Orthopaedic Network (BON)

I conceived, developed and implemented the strategy that led to the launch of the BON. It is a web-based platform designed to promote collegiality and collaboration in education and research.

The project was shortlisted for a Health Services Journal Award 2019 in the Training and Development Initiative category and went on to be a finalist!
