During this crisis, orthopaedic surgery has become a supporting specialty. The trauma has been still been coming in and I credit my colleagues at both SaTH and at RJAH for doing a magnificent job for Shropshire in maintaining the highest possible standard of care under the current circumstances. But where possible, each and every one of them has stepped in to the fold to offer support to colleagues in other specialties who are the ones stood on a cliff edge facing this pandemic.
To my colleagues in the Emergency Department, General Medicine and Intensive Care – I salute you!
Please take care and stay safe.
