Virtual Fracture Clinic is a process by which patients are afforded comfort by not having to come into hospital unless absolutely necessary after an injury but can be safe in the knowledge that a committed consultant led team will be reviewing their case.
Since we formally launched in mid-August, 60% of patients referred to fracture clinic services have been reviewed via our new system. We hope that this will continue and we can keep our patients safe from unnecessary uncomfortable travel to and from the hospital. Especially at this time when travel and physical interaction need to be curtailed to stop the spread of COVID.
We are happy to offering this service, so our patients can focus more on getting better at home instead of focusing on when their parking permit runs out!
