We’ve now launched the next phase of our Virtual Learning Environment and have rebranded from the SVLE to the Postgraduate VLE to acknowledge several non-surgical specialties joining the programme.
The platform is built in this second phase for 3000 users (up from 500) and web conferencing facility up to 400 concurrent users (up from 100).
How do you build? I’m going organic. It means 25-75 users added at any given time to pilot a specialty section. The engagement has been awesome and this slow maintained upload prevents the system and team from becoming overwhelmed while ensuring all users are sorted without any delay. This is becoming a solid adjunct to face to face teaching whilst also offering the potential for completely virtual learning.
